Annual Civil Service Medal Award Ceremony

On December 10, 2024, the Agriculture Research and Development Center (ARDC) Bajo organized the Annual Civil Service Medal Award Ceremony at its Conference Hall. This prestigious event, graced by the Program Director, honored individuals for their unwavering dedication and service to the nation.

The ceremony commenced with the lighting of butter lamps, a marching ceremony, and the recitation of Zhabten for His Majesty the Druk Gyalpo. These ceremonial acts set the tone for an event rooted in gratitude and reverence.

The Program Director of ARDC Bajo presented four Lifetime Achievement Awards, one gold medal, one silver medal, and ten bronze medals to deserving recipients. Each honoree received a medal and a certificate personally signed by His Majesty, underscoring the significance of their contributions.

The Civil Service Medal, established by the Royal Civil Service Commission under a Royal Command, is an annual initiative to recognize and honour civil servants for their clean and dedicated service to Tsa-Wa-Sum. It serves as a platform to foster a sense of pride and accomplishment among those who have committed their careers to the betterment of the nation. This year’s recipients exemplify the values of loyalty, dedication, and excellence, setting a benchmark for future generations of civil servants.
