Three delegates from the AFACI–Rural Agriculture Technology Extension System (RATES), accompanied by an official from the Department of Agriculture (DoA), visited ARDC Bajo today. The team was warmly welcomed by the Program Director and staff of the Centre.
The Program Director provided an overview of the Centre’s key programs and initiatives, followed by a briefing on AFACI-related activities by the Centre’s AFACI focal person. The visit featured productive discussions on ongoing collaborations and future prospects. The delegations also toured some of the on-station research sites, including vegetable trials and wheat fields. The discussions and field tour were also attended by the Dzongkhag Agriculture Officer and Extension staff from the AFACI project gewog, adding further value to the exchange.
