Dr. Daniel Gustafson, Special Representative of the Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, visited ARDC Bajo today. He was accompanied by the FAO Representative for Bhutan and Nepal, a delegation from the Government of Nepal, as well as officials from FAO Nepal and FAO Bhutan.
The delegation was warmly received by the Program Director, along with Sector Heads and staff of ARDC Bajo. The Program Director delivered a brief presentation highlighting the Centre’s major ongoing research activities.
Following the presentation, the delegation visited several on-station sites, including the automated greenhouse, hydroponics facility, and areas demonstrating climate-smart agriculture (CSA) technologies.
