The Agriculture Research Development Centre (ARDC) Bajo joined the nation in celebrating the 117th National Day of the Kingdom of Bhutan with heartfelt enthusiasm and reverence. The event was held at the Centre, bringing together the ARDC family to honour this significant occasion. The celebration commenced at 8:30 AM in the ARDC meeting hall with the offering of a butter lamp, symbolizing prayers for peace and prosperity. This was followed by the singing of the National Anthem, a moment of unity and pride for all participants. The gathering then watched the live broadcast of His Majesty’s address to the nation, a highlight that inspired all with His Majesty’s vision and guidance. The participants offered Zhabten to His Majesty, expressing gratitude and prayers for his continued good health and leadership.
Adding vibrancy to the celebration, a cultural program was presented by the Non-Formal Education (NFE) learners. Their performances were well-received, creating an atmosphere of joy and cultural pride. The program concluded with Tashi Lebay, performed by all participants to symbolize auspiciousness and unity.
The celebration ended on a warm note with a simple yet meaningful lunch served to all attendees, fostering camaraderie among the ARDC family.
On this momentous day, the ARDC family offered sincere prayers for the continued peace, prosperity, and happiness of the nation. With unwavering loyalty, ARDC Bajo rededicates itself to serving Tsa-Wa-Sum (King, Country, and People) under the visionary leadership of the Wangchuck dynasty.
