On 18th July 2017, a team of delegates from IRRI-BRRI, Bangladesh visited ARDC Bajo. The main purpose of their visit was to discuss and strengthen on rice-based agriculture and food system focusing particularly on cold-tolerant rice varieties between Bangladesh and Bhutan and to share their research experience and to get a glimpse of the rice research activities at the Centre. The Program Director and relevant officials of Field Crop Sector the attended the meeting session, followed by a brief interactive discussion amongst the participants on rice research which was followed by a short visit to rice field at on-station and at farmer’s fields at Punakha.
