Field day on Evolutionary Plant Breeding (EPB) Trial on 5th November, 2019 at ARDC-Bajo. Officials from Agriculture sector of Punakha Dzongkhag, ARDC Bajo and Kabesa Gewog Administration attended the field day with farmers participation from several chiwogs.
EPB projects is funded by International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD) through Biodiversity International. Bhutan is the one of the partner countries participating in the Global Evolutionary Plant Breeding Project along with Nepal, Jordan, Ethiopia, Iran and Uganda. In Bhutan, the EPB project is nationally executed by NBC in collaboration with ARDC-Yusipang, Bajo and Samtenling and agriculture sectors of Paro, Punakha, Dagana, Tsirang and Sarpang.
