A one-day training on the Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) system and the Government Inventory Management System (GIMS) was conducted on 17th October 2025 by the Procurement Unit under the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MoAL).
The training was designed to strengthen the participants’ understanding and skills in using digital platforms for procurement and inventory management. It combined both theoretical and hands-on practical sessions, enabling participants to gain first-hand experience in navigating the e-GP and GIMS systems effectively.
Staff from Agriculture Research and Development Centre (ARDC) Bajo and Agriculture Research and Development Sub-Centre (ARDSC) Menchhuna actively participated in the session. The training provided valuable insights into streamlining procurement processes, ensuring transparency, and improving record-keeping and accountability within the Ministry’s agencies. Such capacity-building initiatives are part of MoAL’s continuous efforts to promote digital transformation and enhance efficiency in administrative and financial management across its departments.
The training aimed to strengthen the participants’ capacity in effectively managing government inventories and ensuring accuracy in inventory record-keeping and reporting.
The one-day training session was crucial in enhancing participants’ understanding of the revised PRR 2025 and building our practical skills in using digital systems such as eGP, and GIMS. It aimed to ensure compliance with the new regulations, improve efficiency in procurement and inventory management, and promote transparency and accountability across all implementing agencies.
